Students must help one another to understand, analyze and give alternatives on their problems thru peer counseling.
Thus, said by Dr. Lorenzo during the Peer Counselor’s Training last Aug. 20 at the Audio Visual Conference Center.
“In order to be effective counselor you should be friendly and willing to listen and help” said by Dr. Lorenzo.
He also added that students must possess the skills needed in peer counseling for them to be and effective peer counselors especially in articulation, active listening and observation.
Furthermore, he stressed that God has given the purpose of helping one another that is why human is given two ears and only one mouth for them to listen twice and talk once.
Students from the different departments participated n the said event. The students from the College of Computer Studies who attended the training to be one of the peer counselors were Christian Rey Tulio BSECE-3, Geed Beronibla BSECE-3, Mark Anthony Gabriel BSECE-2, Camille Gellada BSECE-2, Keiven Dean Dionan BSECE-2, Jayson Portana BSECE-1, Xerxan Mae Gonzales BSECE-1, Kimberly Romero BSCS-3, Fatima Gabija BSCS-3, Geraldine Mae Acevedo BSCS-3, Kristy Mae Auditor BSCS-3, Ma. Elme Salazar BSCS-1, Glymer Falco BSCS-1 and Mary Jean Cerado BSCS-1.
